Multi-purpose Platform ECS supports billions of files of all shapes and sizes (big and small) in a single cloud-scale storage system. With ECS you can support different workloads such as IoT, archive, big data, modern apps. ECS provides universal access with support for major object protocols – S3, Swift, Atmos, CAS – as well as file (NFSv3 and CIFS/SMB) and HDFS.
Smart Cloud Storage ECS has a suite of very unique capabilities that differentiate it from other traditional object and cloud storage competitors. Search user defined and system generated metadata without the need for a separate dedicated database, geo-distribute and protect your data with in-flight erasure coding, read and write data from any location instantly with support for strong consistency semantics.
